Anyone wanting to work in the Dubai as a nurse should have bellow list of documents need for nursing in Dubai handy for the registration and Visa Prosses.
You should have your:
- High School Diploma or Certificate
- Nursing Diploma or Certificate
- Nursing Transcript with Related Learning Experience
- Certificates of Employment or Experience (signed by Human Resource, Nursing, or Medical Director)
- Nursing Licenses (Valid, from country of graduation and/or last employment)
- Good Standing Certificates
- Passport Copy (front and back)
- Passport Sized Photo (colored, white background)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU ARE NOT A BACHELOR DEGREE NURSE AND YOU WANT TO COME TO UAE (DUBAI), YOU WONT BE GIVEN THE NURSING LICENSE INSTEAD, AS A DIPLOMA NURSE, YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE ASSISTANT NURSING LICENSE TO PRACTICE IN DUBAI. ONLY BACHELOR DEGREE NURSES ARE GIVEN LICENSE TO WORK AS A NURSE IN DUBAI. DIPLOMA NURSES ARE GIVEN ASSISTANT NURSING LICENSE.
Another thing to discuss is the Attestation, Authentication, Red Ribbon of documents. “Qualifications Attestation by the UAE embassy and/or Ministry of Foreign Affairs is NOT required.”, some of the companies in Dubai do ask for it if you are applying for a nursing job in some Home Nursing companies.
It is also required for the application of visa to have your documents authenticated with Red Ribbon then have it attested by the UAE embassy.
Second Step: Scan the documents.

HOW TO APPLY FOR DHA
They are going to contact your home Country where you got the Documents from. If it is your School, Previous employer, they will Email them to verify the Documents you got from them.
If all documents are verified, a letter will be issued to you saying all documents you submitted are Valid. This will be used to arrange an Exam with DHA which is an easy exam comprising of multiple choice questions that last for 2hours. You have to pay about $172 for the Exam. It is Computer base and it is 70 questions.
If you pass the Exam congratulations you will be given a Letter that will last for a year which you will use to proceed for a Job and proceed for your licensing as well.
