When NNAS has received all of these Documents, they will Generate an Advisory Report.

An Advisory report is Basically an Evaluation of your Nursing Education.

5️⃣  Communication with the Nursing Board (After NNAS has Generated your advisory Report)

NNAS will send the advisory report to each Nursing Board you indicated of the each Provinces that you have indicated interest to be Registered with them.

Your Nursing Board in Canada will want to see a Copy of your IELTS test results so you have to indicate it should be sent to both NNAS and Nursing Board…

When they review all Documents after paying the processing fee (Check morning lecture) they will determine if you will need to write the Competency Assessment Exam.

Competency assessment is an Evaluation of the Applicants Knowledge on Clinicals, Nursing skills and Practices just like CBT???❣️??

Canada don’t write CBT Each province has their own exam they write.

Ontario Write IENCAP (International Educated Nurses Competency Assessment Program.)

Manitoba call it CCA

British Columbia call it NCAS

They are all CBT but different Name same Exam….

6️⃣  Study for the Competency Assessment Exam.

Your Nursing Board of Choice will give/Provide you a list of Books to read to Enable you prepare for this Exam.

HAVE YOU READ THIS: How Nigerians are relocating to Canada with Just O level results

You can either Buy it or borrow or download from the internet or ask around if anyone has it.

NOTE; YOU CAN NOW USE YOUR COMPETENCY EXAM APPROVAL AS A REASON FOR YOUR VISA APPLICATION.????❣️ (BADDEST)

7️⃣  Supplementary Education.

Base on the documents you submitted, if the board Detected as a result of Evaluation they found out you have some weakness in any of the provincial Syllabus, they will require you to do some IEN Bridging Course on that Area you are weak .

E.g if you where Low in mental health or Pediatrics or Psychology in School, you will be required to do some Bridging Course on them.

8️⃣  Interim License

Upon completion of the Bridging program, you will be Authorized to apply for a interim Nurse License.

NEW!!! HOW TO GET PERMANENT RESIDENCY IN CANADA

With this license you can work with a Preceptor and after a time, the manager in your unit will notify the board of your Practice performances

NOTE: This Interims license can only be used in one Facility and not Transferable.

Your Manager will give the appraisal for you to take the NCLEX Exam right there in Canada.

9️⃣ NCLEX—RN

The Nursing board will contact you to apply for the NCLEX–RN

Remember the interim license with you is only valid for four months.

You are to apply to pearson vue to schedule the NCLEX–RN exam for you.

1️⃣0️⃣  PERMANENT LICENSE.

Once you write and passed your NCLEX–RN you will be issued the permanent License and you will no longer be restricted to practice in one province. You can practice anywhere among the 10 provinces…❤️❤️❤️

However, if you fail the NCLEX-RN Exam, the interim License Given to you will be withdrawn and the nursing board will have to take a decision on the next step for you.

So.

Like I Said Earlier if you don’t have a Bachelor Degree don’t dare to choose the RN route.

Please choose the LPN route if what you have is RN or RN/RM.

Not that the RM matters though….??‍♂️

Also sit for your IELTS Exams.

I advice you get a Coached to take you on some lessons and i Can recommend a good IELTS coach for you that can groom you efficiently to take the test without having to write multiple times. The class is just #30,000 FIXED.

IELTS ACADEMIC IS REQUIRED ON THIS RN/LPN route/pathway.

  1. Thanks so much for this.

Please, my question is that, how many months will the process take?
Also for someone that’s above 45years of age, can he or she still participate?

    1. Below is a breakdown of fees that you may need to pay during the application process. All fees are in U.S. Dollars, Applicable sales taxes will be added to these fees.

Main Application Order – $650 USD
Advisory Report for another province – $55 USD
Evaluation for a different nursing group (RN, LPN, RPN) – $220 USD
Evaluation for an expired Main Application – $180 USD
Evaluation for an expired Main Application – $180 USD
Appeals to NNAS (refundable if appeal is successful) – $500 USD

  2. Like u said without Bachelor degree, one should not take the RN route, wat if u have a bachelor degree, will u still need to write NCLEX-RN before you can be licensed?

  3. Good morning , thanks for the update.
